A modern single family home built in the early 1990’s and in need of cosmetic surgery. The architectural planes of the front and back façade are redesigned and new aluminum & glass storefront is introduced to add transparency and visual permeability. New ebonized maple floors and exposed concrete blocks on the interiors combined with white walls and aluminum and glass doors provide a neutral and graphic canvas to the modern furnishings. A modern kitchen where stainless steel and glossy white lacquer reflect light and colors, a new master bedroom & bath, a landscape plan that reorganizes the front and the back of the house, are all elements that enrich and strengthen the quality of both living and private spaces breathing a new "Zen" serenity to the home.
Total project area: 2,500 sf.
Completion year: 2003.
Project partially implemented while at another architectural firm.
