The goal with this project was to create affordable office space combined with warehouse and labs without detracting from the architectural quality of the 1 story building. Precast structural concrete slabs allow for the building to be manufactured very fast reducing construction costs. The introduction of colored metal paneling & roof screen, a lineal floating canopy on the south side made of industrial steel grates, deep setbacks, allow for the facades to have articulation & for the building to better relate to the 2 and 3 stories building around it.
Total project area: 22,000 sf.
Completion year: 2006.
